Born and brought up in Bombay this young enthusiastic talent has been choreographing since the past 13 years. He has never taken any kind of formal training; it’s only practice that has made him perfect. He is none other than the gifted Ganesh Hegde.
The 1st film he choreographed was Khamoshi, after that there was no looking back for him. The foot tapping numbers to his credit are Babuji zara dheere chalo and Dum from Dum, Mujhe mast mahaul mein jeene de from Fiza, Kambhakt ishq from Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Oh Oh Jane jaana from Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. He has also choreographed Tere bina from Kushi, which is the costliest song picturized in the history of Indian Cinema.
He won Zee Cine Award for the best choreographer for It’s magic from Koi Mil Gaya and the American Choreography Award – LA for mitwa sun mitwa from Lagaan.
He has choreographed more than 400 Award shows. He has also choreographed international ad’s for Shaggy and opening ad’s for Michael Jackson and Diana King.
Ganesh Hegde’s breathtaking debut album "G” is set to storm the markets on the 26th of October. Ganesh has spent a lot of time and effort on this new album; music lovers will experience a magical gamut of emotions through his songs. He has been involved in each aspect of the making of the album, be it choreographing, singing, directing, editing, set design, costumes etc. This young talent has a long way to go.
To his latest addition he has choreographed Fardeen Khan’s moves for the Mtv Lycra Style Awards.
